Senior Celebrations, Wednesday, May 24

Homewood Senior Toast
8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Keyser Quadrangle
Complimentary parking will be available on campus that evening. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled.

Universitywide Commencement, Thursday, May 25
Homewood Field
Johns Hopkins University’s Homewood Campus
Tickets are not required
8:00 a.m.: Doors open for guests and student check-in begins
8:15 a.m.: Ceremony prequel video begins
8:45 a.m.: Ceremony procession begins
9:00 a.m.: Ceremony begins

Graduates must register to participate in the commencement ceremony, the deadline to register is Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

Transportation & Parking

Complimentary parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the South Garage and San Martin Garage on the Homewood campus. If you are driving, please consider carpooling.

Parking Shuttle

Every 10–15 minutes from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Return service begins at noon and is available until one hour after the ceremony concludes.
Runs from Mason Hall/South Garage to San Martin Center to Homewood Field on a loop.
Accessible shuttles are available at all shuttle stops. Guests should anticipate longer wait times as the ceremony nears.

Other Transportation Options

We encourage you to consider public transportation, a taxi, or a ride-share service.

Homewood Field Bag Policy

For the safety of our guests, backpacks and bags larger than 13″ x 15″ are NOT permitted in the stadium (including camera bags, purses, and any luggage). Bag check will not be available at the stadium.
All items should be left in your vehicle or at your hotel/accommodation. Bags, regardless of size, may be searched upon entry to the field.

Important Reminders

Submit Photos and Videos

Your photos and videos are needed for this year’s ceremony. More details, including prompts for the videos please click this link to submit. The submission deadline is Friday, April 21.

Cap & Gown, Graduation Pictures, and more

Graduates are encouraged to attend the Barnes & Noble Johns Hopkins Graduation Fair

March 30 to April 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Students will be able to purchase their cap and gown, personalized announcements, and diploma frames. GradImages® will be on-site at this time to take senior portraits.

GradImages® is the Commencement ceremony photographer. You can preregister your email to receive your ceremony proofs within a week of the ceremony.

Meal Reservations

As you make dining plans, remember that your graduate needs to be at the stadium no later than 8:30 a.m., and the ceremony is expected to conclude by noon. 

Special Assistance Requests

Parking is available adjacent to Homewood Field for guests with disabilities who have a legal permit for accessible parking. Space in this lot is limited, as is the accessible seating area on the field. If you or a guest requires ADA parking or seating, reserve your space by completing the this form. Please contact the Commencement Office at commencement@jhu.edu or (410) 516-7711 by April 21 to request reserved parking, reserved seating, ASL interpreters, assisted listening devices, and Braille program booklets, or if you have any Commencement-related questions or concerns.
