On the morning of Thursday, May 21, 2015 graduates and their guests celebrated the close of the 139th academic year at the Johns Hopkins University Commencement ceremony at Homewood Field on Homewood campus.
Eight honorary degrees were conferred at the 2015 universitywide commencement ceremony. They included an acclaimed pianist, a longtime Maryland congressman, and the director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. You can read more about these distinguished men and women here.

Ed Catmull, a co-founder of Pixar Animation Studios, addressed the Class of 2015 at Johns Hopkins University’s Commencement.
Thirteen Johns Hopkins senior athletes received their diplomas during a special ceremony, two days earlier than the rest of the Class of 2015.
